EV Rescue Mode – For Hybrid & Electric Vehicles

Even though an EV has a high-voltage traction battery, it still relies on its 12V auxiliary battery to power the vehicle's control units and activate the high-voltage system. If this 12V battery becomes discharged, the vehicle can become completely inoperative.

The GYSCAP Twin Start's dedicated EV Rescue Mode supplies a regulated 14.0V output, adjustable between 12.0V and 16.0V, with current limited to 50A. This allows the vehicle's 12V electrical system to be safely restored so that the vehicle can be brought back online.
